About
Hello and welcome to Empowered Codes! I am so happy that you are here. My name is Patricia, and I am a senior at Stanford University. I am passionate about empathetic storytelling and education. I am a section leader for the intro computer science courses at Stanford — my goal is to provide an environment where all students feel supported and capable of success. I've struggled in every computer science course I've taken, and I want students to feel that they are not alone.
I make jewelry with a nerdy twist — much of my inspiration comes from computer science concepts, or my interest in aviation. 50% of each purchase goes toward Incarceration to College — a program that supports incarcerated youth on their path to higher education.
In Spring 2021, I served on the head teaching assistant team for Code in Place, an initiative to bring free computer science education to 10k+ students around the world. I owe a big thank you to everyone I met during Code in Place for allowing me to share my art with them and for their encouragement that I'll never forget.
I find a lot of empowerment from wearing and gifting jewelry. Each piece is made with love and positive wishes, and I hope they will bring you joy and confidence.
Thank you again for checking out Empowered Codes!
Sending you much love,
Patricia
